Sophie Wolfe, MSW, LSW is the lead play therapist at The Denver Center for Play Therapy. She graduated from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work with a Masters in Clinical Social Work. Sophie's expertise involves helping children, teens, and adults face challenging patterns of anxiety, depression, aggression, hyperactivity, and post traumatic stress.
Certified in Synergetic Play Therapy™, Sophie's approach combines the therapeutic powers of play with nervous system regulation, interpersonal neurobiology, physics, attachment, mindfulness, and therapist authenticity. She specializes in trauma-informed and body-oriented practices to help individuals feel more confident to be themselves and thrive within their worlds. Sophie also works closely with parents to help them understand and support their children’s emotional needs.
Prior to joining The Denver Center for Play Therapy team, Sophie provided in-home, school based, and outpatient individual and family therapy, where developed a strong belief in the healing powers of play and connection for people of all ages. Outside of the playroom, Sophie dances daily and loves to connect with friends and family while spending time in nature.
